The International Thespian Excellence Awards (or Thespys® for short) recognize the highest level of achievement in school theatre performance, technical theatre, writing, and filmmaking.
This educational program celebrates the work of theatre students, giving them the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material, technical design, plays, and short films, and recognizing their achievements on local, regional, and international stages.
Student Thespian Officers
Student Thespian Officers (STO for short) are the heart of Kentucky Thespians! If you're passionate about theatre, love helping others, and want to make a difference, this is your chance to grow as a leader and leave your mark on our community.
Take your next step in theatre! Kentucky Thespian Festival offers scholarship opportunities for eligible students to help support their continued education in the arts. Scholarships recognize students who demonstrate passion, dedication, and excellence in theatre and provide an opportunity to connect their festival experience with their future goals.
Thinking about pursuing theatre after high school? KTF is a great place to connect with colleges and showcase your talents! College representatives attend the Kentucky Thespian Festival to meet students, share information about their programs, and offer audition opportunities.
College auditions will once again be offered virtually this year, giving students the opportunity to audition for participating programs from the festival.
