Registration Info
Thespy registration fees are $15 per student per event. Students must attend festival in order to participate in Thespys. Students may only advance to ITF if their school has a registered and active Thespian troupe (this will be confirmed at the time of registration). Students may only participate in two (2) Thespys, each from a different category. Students registered for more than two will be disqualified for additional Thespys.
Each Thespy entry must be registered as a separate entry. Do not combine Thespy entries on one form.
Students registering for Performance Thespys must adhere to the following Kentucky Thespians/EdTA rules for adjudication of Thespys:
All pieces must be from the EdTA approved list of publishers. Can be found HERE!
SURPRISE! No more dress code for Thespys! We do ask that you dress in your professional best that is approved by your troupe director.
All participants must slate their performance. This includes participant's full name, troupe number, title of piece, author and/or composer.
Times allowed for all performance Thespys is 3 minutes for solo, and 5 minutes for groups (after slating).
All participants must provide their own music if participating in a musical category. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. It is your responsibility to provide any needed aux cables or cords to connect your device.
Inducted Thespians earning a superior overall advance to the International Thespian Festival in Indiana in June 2024.
Students registering for Tech Theatre Thespys must adhere to the following Kentucky Thespians/EdTA rules for adjudication of Thespys:
All pieces must be shown in person using a digital portfolio or sharing actual pieces (costuming).

All participants must slate their presentation. This includes participant's full name, troupe number, and category for adjudication.
Times are as follows: All tech entries - 8 minutes (after slating) - suggested, five minute presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
All participants must provide their own portfolio or laptop, models, tools, makeup and/or materials.
